王建民效力的皇家隊，今天(26日)與陳偉殷一樣，都是洛杉磯出賽，皇家今天一路落後天使，到了八局下半，王建民在球隊落後5分的情況下登板後援，他今天以精簡的12球投完一局，還以雙殺完成任務，揮別連3場失分的噩運。

球賽主播：「皇家派出王建民上場。」

王建民八局下登板中繼，球速最快來到92英里，大約148公里左右，而且都是讓打者打出滾地球出局。

球賽主播：「游擊手艾斯科巴接到傳一壘出局。」

王建民本季第五場出賽，前面4場比賽，只有第二場投了2.1局，其他都是一局，這場也一樣主投一局，不過面對第二名打者時，投出了一次保送，而王建民並沒有受到影響，最後則是用雙殺打，完成投球任務。

球賽主播：「滾地球游擊手接到傳二壘再傳一壘，6-4-3的雙殺守備也結束了這個半局。」

王建民投了一局只用了12個球，沒有失分，擺脫前面連續3場中繼都失分的小低潮，王建民本季累積出5場，總計6.1局被打了9支安打，丟掉3分，防禦率小降到4.26，可惜皇家最後以1:6輸球，12勝7敗排在美聯中區第二。（民視新聞張鎮麟、黃俊諭綜合報導）
